Study of Antimicrobial Activity of Vegetable Alcoholic Extracts Obtained from <i>Vinca Minor</i> L.

Abstract Important natural antimicrobial compounds derived from Vinca minor L. plant contain a wide variety of secondary metabolites which are useful for brain health (increasing blood circulation in the brain, supporting metabolism, preventing memory loss and problems with concentration premature aging cell), externally they play role tissue repair skin lesion healing. The testing activity alcoholic extracts obtained was performed on two types pathogenic germs: Gram-positive strain, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 Gram-negative Escherichia Coli 25922, as well yeast strain pathogenic, Candida albicans 900288. Quantitative evaluation by variant Kirby-Bauer diffusimetric method, simple fast method that allows determination spectrum sensitivity / resistance to antibiotics microorganism. Experimental studies have shown all samples extract 70% concentration, volumes 7µL, exerted total antibacterial inhibitory action against reference strains E. coli 25922 C. 10231 moderate S. 25923, results agree literature. Regarding 40% ethyl alcohol, leaf stem plant, did not show activity, suggests alcohol does bioactive activity.
